Riley Gettys – D1 Greenville Character Athlete of The Month
September 12, 2013 – Perseverance can be defined as steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success. Riley Gettys demonstrates just that in his work ethic at D1. He strives for perfection in every drill and is a key leader amongst the Rookie athletes. Riley’s younger brother looks up to him because he works hard and helps him with homework. As a sixth grader, Riley currently participates in tennis and soccer and has played football and been on swim teams in the past. Riley enjoys working out everyday and wants to be a doctor when he grows up. All of these actions Riley has demonstrated makes him the winner of the “Perseverance Character Athlete of the Month”
