Following the announcement of D1 Jackson’s co-owners, Michael Oher and Antonio Johnson, D1 Jackson is also excited to announce our first member, and it’s a familiar face. Rayf Vinson, who trained with D1 for 2 years previously at D1 Nashville, has signed on early as a Rapid Responder to pick up where he left of when the facility opens this Spring. In Nashville, Rayf trained as a Rookie, where his efforts eventually placed him at the top of the All Time Leader Board in the 20 Yard Dash for all 7-11 year old athletes at D1 Nashville. Rayf’s hard work training at D1 has paid off big time. After moving to Jackson, Rayf recently completed his first season with Madison Ridgeland Youth Football Club, where he led the league in touchdowns. His team eventually went on to win the Championship as he posted over 200 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns in the game. In addition to Football, Rayf plays basketball and runs track. He is also a standout in the community and in the classroom. In addition to speed and agility drills on D1’s indoor turf, Rayf’s favorite things about D1 are the Coaches and the competition in the group workouts. Rayf will train with our 12-14 year old athletes in our Developmental program this spring and D1 is excited to have a veteran lead the charge.
