March 24, 2014 – We are excited to name Miranda Hudleston as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Miranda is an extremely skilled soccer player, on both Athens High School’s team and Club Soccer at Huntsville Futbol Club. Between all teams, Miranda has won countless awards. These include US Youth Soccer Region III Premier League Division Champions in 2011, Class 5A State Champions, the North/South All Star team, and AYSA D1 State Champions from 2011- 2013, as well as many others. Miranda has also maintained an impressive 3.95-4.0 GPA in AP and Honors courses amidst traveling for soccer. Miranda somehow finds time to remain involved in school activities and within her community. She serves as the Student Government President this year, is a member of National Honor Society and BETA Club, she is active in her church Crosspointe and their youth group: Crossfire. Miranda also tutors children in reading and math. Despite a demanding schedule, Miranda balances it all and succeeds in each area of her life. This is why Miranda is the ideal choice for this week’s Athlete of the Week. Congratulations Miranda!
