January 25, 2013 – This basketball specialist is a senior at Pope John Paul II Catholic High School and can be found scoring as many points inside the classroom as she can out. That’s why Mary has been named to the 2012 All-Area Team. She’s led her team in rebounds and points in the same season and looks to continue the trend in 2013. Something that’s another trend in Mary’s world is her success in the classroom. She carries a fortuitous 4.37 GPA and remains a permanent resident on the honor roll list. Mary’s a member of the Art, Spanish and National Honors Societies and has also been awarded the AP Scholar Award. She’s extremely active in her school’s campus ministry, as well as her local church. She’s taught Sunday School and has been a teacher’s aid for her church. Mary has also been an active member of her Praise Band and her youth choir, while finding time to work with CASA in helping build ramps for those who are wheelchair bound. Congratulations, Mary!
