September 13, 2013 – LA is a member of the Columbus Marauders Football team and began his training at D1 about 3 years ago. LA had to have surgery last fall from a bulging disk and L4 and L5 injury to his back. After his surgery he attended physical therapy here at D1 with Chris Kolba and has been able to return to the Adult Boot Camps. LA continues to persevere after his surgery to gain the strength he had lost and overcome the injury. LA is a class act and helps motivate his teammates to get back to training at D1. In the summer months LA encouraged his 3 sons to train in our scholastic programs as well. LA continues to push himself to new levels in his training and is a role model to many of our adult members, which is why we are awarding LA with the “Perseverance Character Athlete of the Month”.
