David Gunther- HH & TOC Athlete of the Week

David Gunther (213x300)April 14, 2014 – We are excited to announce David Gunther as this week’s HH & TOC Athlete of the Week! David is an incredibly talented runner. David is the captain of the Bob Jones High School Cross-country team and has been one of the top runners of both the Cross-country and Track teams. Combined with athleticism, David is incredibly intelligent. He has a 4.69 weighted GPA. He is also a member of National Honor Society and the Editor-in-Chief of the school’s newspaper. David also makes time to give his time and energy within various service organizations in the area. He co-founded, and is now the president, of the Citizens of the World club at Bob Jones High School. This club offers community service projects with international goals for the members to get involved in. He also founded a road race called the Run to Kure Infant Disorders (R-KIDS) which raised over $10,000 this past fall. David’s dedication to his training, schoolwork, and community are some of the features that make him an impressive young man worthy of this week’s Athlete of the Week title. Congratulations David!
