Brooke Zwayer – D1 Columbus Character Athlete of The Month
April 5, 2013 – Brooke is a high school basketball player who is going on to play at Malone College. In July of 2012 she sustained a knee ligament injury. Also In July, she underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament. Initially, despite the pain and difficulty she was determined to regain her range of motion and get back to walking normal again. Her ultimate goal was to be able to play basketball again in her senior season. She remained focused and committed. Through her determination, consistency and excellent work ethic she was able to return for her senior season and was a significant part of their success into the post season, Brooke is determined in all aspects of her life and applies the principle to all she does.
