Bailey Speer – HH & TOC Athlete of the Week

February 8, 2013 – Meet Bailey Speer, a senior at East Limestone High School and someone who is quickly raising the bar of success, while leaving behind a legacy for future student-athletes to strive for. On the court, if Bailey isn’t cheering the Indian’s to victory, it’s only because she’s helping them win the game. Bailey has been a four-year starter for the Lady Indians basketball team, and Team Captain for the last two. She’s been recognized for her amazing defensive skills and her willingness to always “hustle” up and down the court. As a cheerleader, Bailey has competed as an UCA All-American for the past three years and has been recognized for her outstanding efforts. When Bailey isn’t scoring or cheering, she’s assuming the role as leader of the senior class with being named Student Council President. And it’s no secret how she got there. Bailey carried a robust 4.2 GPA and has made the honor roll each year. S She’s a Junior Civilian member, has helped with the Juvenile Diabetes Walk and with the Downtown Rescue Mission. Bailey has even found it in her heart to start the first special-needs cheer team at East Limestone High School. Congratulations, Bailey!
